last summer i traveled to los angeles with my best friend daniel after we finished school in july. it was our first trip without our families, so we felt excited and nervous at the same time. we arrived on monday morning and went directly to our hotel near hollywood boulevard. after leaving our bags, we walked outside and saw many interesting people wearing costumes from marvel movies and famous singers. later, daniel said, “this place feels like another world.” i agreed with him immediately.
on tuesday we visited universal studios and spent the whole day there. our favorite attraction was based on jurassic world because it was fast and full of surprises. after that, we bought hamburgers and soft drinks for lunch. in the afternoon we entered a store and i bought nike shoes while daniel purchased an apple phone case. we were tired, but still wanted to explore more places.
on wednesday we went to santa monica beach. the weather was perfect, and the ocean looked beautiful under the sun. we rented bicycles and rode along the boardwalk for an hour. later, i told daniel, “we should come back here someday.” he smiled and said yes. at night we returned downtown and watched spider-man at a cinema.
before going back to mexico on friday, we visited a music shop where they played songs in english and spanish. i bought a poster of taylor swift and daniel chose one of drake. during the flight home, we talked about all the memories we had made. it was one of the best experiences of my life, and i know i will never forget that summer adventure.
